New Improved BBM!
We have exciting news about your BBM service. In an effort to continue improving the service, BlackBerry Limited has licensed BBM Consumer (on Android and iPhone) to Emtek’s Singapore subsidiary Creative Media Works (CMW). Working with CMW has resulted in great new BBM content and services for you, including in-app transportation services such as Uber, content such as News, Games, Video, Comics, Polls, and e-commerce offerings such as shopping, travel and vouchers. BlackBerry has been closely coordinating with CMW, gradually transferring certain aspects of the BBM Consumer platform to CMW, such as development of the BBM application itself. To make this a seamless transition, Blackberry will transfer your BBM Consumer data to CMW for its continued operation of the BBM platform.
Please keep in mind that BlackBerry continues to operate BBM for BBOS and BlackBerry 10, as well as BBM Enterprise. These versions are distinct from BBM Consumer and not affected by this transition.
Your privacy is very important to BlackBerry and CMW. CMW is committed to securing your information and maintaining the privacy standards for BBM as set forth in the updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (together, the updated BBM Terms). CMW has already included new security features such as Second Factor Authentication (2FA) for registration via email or phone number. By continuing to use BBM Consumer, you accept the updated BBM Terms. If you do not agree, or prefer not to have your data transferred, you may discontinue using BBM Consumer, and close your account before February 26, 2018.
BlackBerry continues to share a common goal with CMW of ensuring that you continue to have a world-class experience with BBM Consumer. Your BBM loyalty is valued by both of us.
